ETimes had exclusively revealed how Nawaz’s mother Mehrunisa Siddiqui had filed an FIR (First Information Report) against the actor’s wife for alleged trespassing and even claiming that Aaliya is not Nawaz’s wife.
Aaliya, on the other hand, recorded her statement at the Versova Police Station and took the legal route while alleging that Nawazuddin and his family didn’t provide her food, basic amenities or even access to the bathrooms. Through her lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee, Aaliya filed a countercase to Mehrunisa’s complaint, under section 509, an insult to modesty and section 498A, husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty.
According to the latest report on Times Now, Mumbai’s Andheri court has issued a notice to the actor over the complaint filed by his wife.
Aaliya’s lawyer told ETimes, “I’m going by the admission on paper by Nawaz that Aaliya is his lawfully wedded wife because that is what he says everywhere. And if this case is true, then there is no case of trespass, which can be made against Aaliya by her mother-in-law because she has got no right or liberty to fight any kind of trespassing case against a wife who is entering her own husband’s house. After CCTV cameras were installed, now even bodyguards are there, stopping Aaliya from going to the bathroom in the upper rooms. This means, their complaint of trespass is baseless and Nawaz is cornered from both sides. Either there is a rape case against him or there is a case of domestic violence because she is not getting food, there is mental, physical, emotional and financial abuse.”
While there is buzz that Aaliya is stirring controversy for property gains, her lawyer revealed the real reason for her presence in Mumbai was to confront the actor for allegedly ‘endangering the security’ of their young daughter when she accompanied him on a trip to Dubai.
The lawyer said, “The manager received my notice and even the husband has received my notice but they have never bothered to respond. They kept quiet and even threatened.”
Hearing of all these cases is due in the coming days.
