By Apoorva Jayachandran : As many as 24 girl students of BC Girls’ Hostel in Andhra Pradesh’s Kothavalasa district fell ill after they had pulihora for breakfast on Tuesday morning. As per sources, these students fell down vomiting and ha severe stomach pain after eating contaminated breakfast in the hostel canteen.
The ill students were rushed to Kothavalasa government hospital for treatment by the hostel staff.

Over six students have been shifted to Srungavarapu CHC for treatment. After initial treatment, 14 students are said to have recovered while the remaining 10 people are undergoing treatment.
“We noticed that several of the students started falling sick and complained of vomiting and stomach ache. We have shifted the students to the hospital and are monitoring the situation,” the hostel warden told India Today.

This comes days after around 100 students of a school in Palnadu fell ill and were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning, news agency ANI reported.
The students reportedly had tomato rice and groundnut chutney for breakfast and chicken curry and sambar for lunch, after which they threw up and came down with Diarhoea.
