Hindu organisations to conduct mega rallies during Ram Navami in West Bengal

While Vishwa Hindu Parishad is prepping to celebrate Ram Navami with full fervour, the Hindu Jagran Manch will celebrate the festival at 600 places across West Bengal.

By Suryagni Roy: In order to celebrate the Ram Navami festival on a grand scale in West Bengal, Hindu organisations are planning to take out processions at more than 500 places across the state. While Vishwa Hindu Parishad is prepping to celebrate Ram Navami with full fervour, the Hindu Jagran Manch will celebrate the festival at 600 places across West Bengal.

Speaking to India Today, Hindu Jagran Manch leader Debashish Chakrabarty said they would celebrate the festival in a grand manner, especially in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas and Howrah areas.

“We will celebrate Ram Navami with more grandeur. In South Bengal itself, 175 rallies, 600 pujas will be organised. In north Bengal, we will conduct 170-plus rallies. The biggest one will happen in Mandir Bazaar which will have 60,000 workers.” Debashish Chakraborty told India Today.

He further stated that Hindu Jagran Manch plans to conduct both armed and non-armed rallies during Ram Navami. “There will be rallies with arms and non-armed rallies. As per law, rallies which happened before 2018 will continue. If it is an old one, we don’t have to ask for permission, an intimation will be given. It is our fundamental right, so there isn’t any question of permission,” said Debashish Chakrabarty.

“In 2018, the administration gave us a clear verdict that old rallies will continue,” added Debashish Chakraborty.

According to Debashish Chakraborty, the Hindu Jagran Manch will also take out the tableaus of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir’s under-construction sculptures in various districts of Bengal.

“In various districts like Chandannagar and Barasat, where we will take out a tableau of the Ram Mandir, which is under construction,” said Debashish Chakrabarty.
