Manoj Bajpayee enjoys a cult status within the industry today owing to his terrific work in films like ‘Satya’, ‘Aks’, ‘Aligarh’ amidst a long list of movies in his filmography. The actor was last seen in ‘Gulmohar’ along with Sharmila Tagore which released on OTT recently. Bajpayee has done many movies with Ram Gopal Varma and in a recent interview he admitted that he owes his career to RGV.

They talk to each other quite often and the director can also call him sometimes to give him ‘gaalis’. Recently, the iconic song, ‘Sapne Mein Milti Hai’ was remade and it also featured Manoj in a cameo. The song starred Dhvani Bhanushali and Abhimanyu Dassani. Manoj laughed and said that sometimes you do things for friends, just out of good gesture and that’s why he did that song but RGV called him and scolded for it.

Varma has been the talk of the town lately, ever since MM Keeravani credit Ram Gopal Varma after his Oscar win, for giving him a break. Keeravani had said in an interview that ‘Ram Gopal Varma was his first Oscar’. The composer further added that RGV gave him a chance to work on his film ‘Kshana Kshanam’ at a time when he was ‘Siva’ Ram Gopal Varma. ‘Siva’ was like an Oscar role for him because it was his first movie and it became such a huge hit and he played an Oscar role in Keeravani’s career.
