By Sumi Rajappan: The BJP is in election mode in Chhattisgarh as it announced a mega rally in Korba tomorrow which will be addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Over 50,000 people from four districts – Korba, Manendragarh, Koriya and Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) in north Chhattisgarh – are likely to attend the rally.
The traffic police have issued an advisory in view of the rally. The entry of vehicles and public will be restricted on the VIP road from an hour prior to Amit Shah’s arrival. During his stay, Shah will address a public meeting at Indira Gandhi Stadium in the Tipinagar district and visit the Sarvamangala Mata around.

Amit Shah will also chair a meeting of the core group of Korba Lok Sabha constituency, Chhattisgarh BJP chief MP Arun Sav said. The core group comprises former Chief Minister Raman Singh, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Narayan Chandel, and 32 other leaders of the party’s state unit.
“All our four district organizations are working on Amit Shah’s programme. January 7 will be a historic day for the Korba Lok Sabha constituency. Many workers and people from all mandals of our four organizational districts will come to listen to Amit Shah. This program will be recorded in the history of Energy City,” Sav said.
Elections are scheduled in the state this year.
