Officials put a halt on Aaftab Poonawala’s polygraph test after he became unwell. The remaining sessions will continue on Monday, November 28.

Aaftab Poonawala’s polygraph test will continue on Monday, November 28.
By Arvind Ojha: Aaftab Ameen Poonawala who was sent to Tihar Jail for the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar is being monitored round the clock behind bars, said Tihar Jail’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Dheeraj Mathur. Speaking to India Today, the official said Aaftab is lodged in cell number 4, which is a separate cell. He added that Aaftab has no health complications and a medical check-up was conducted as soon as he arrived in jail on Saturday.
Dheeraj Mathur further said that the jail superintendent received an order from the court that Aaftab should be presented before the Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini on November 28, 29 and December 5. His polygraph test will continue on Monday, November 28.

Aaftab underwent a marathon polygraph test on Friday which lasted for nearly three hours. However, the polygraph test could not be completed as he was unwell. FSL’s assistant director Sanjeev Gupta said there are several sessions of the polygraph test that are remaining and it will be conducted on Monday.
Further, he added that the laboratory is also prepared to conduct a narco test on Aaftab but they have not yet received orders on the exact date of the test.
Earlier, senior Delhi police officials and officials at the FSL said Aaftab Poonawala is likely to undergo a narco test at Ambedkar Hospital on Monday. The Delhi Police hopes to unfold the mystery of the Shraddha Walkar murder case by conducting a narcoanalysis test on accused Aaftab Poonawala.
The court has given permission to carry out the test and Aaftab has also given his consent to it.
WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR
Aaftab Poonawala confessed to the Delhi Police that he killed his partner Shraddha Walkar in May and chopped her body into 35 pieces. He said that he stored Shraddha’s body parts in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his Delhi residence in Mehrauli.
Aaftab said that he would step out of his house for several days, past midnight, to dump her body parts. He was arrested on November 12. Police are conducting searches at several locations to recover all of Shraddha’s body parts that were disposed of by Aaftab.
