By Pankaj Jain: Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reviewed the winter action plan to ensure free food and lodging facilities for the homeless in Delhi on Tuesday. The government set up a 24×7 centralised control room and issued helpline numbers to make the plan more effective.
The helpline numbers are 14461, 011-23378789 and 011-23370560. Residents can inform Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) through these numbers or via Rain Basera App and the team will reach the location immediately.
Out of 195 night shelters, 19 were booked for families, 17 for women and four for drug addicts. The homeless will be provided with food, lodging, lockers, complaint boxes, an ambulance, free medical facilities, three meals per day and free medicine. Women can also avail free medical services at the Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinic located nearby.
