By India Today Web Desk: The Adjudication Authority recently gave confirmation on the attachment of four floors in the Ceejay House building belonging to NCP leader and former Union Minister Praful Patel and his family located at Worli.
Sources said that the confirmation came after the attachment was done as per the process by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). ED had attached the four floors in the prime property located at Worli last year in connection with the money laundering case registered against late smuggler and gangster Iqbal Mirchi and others.

Patel was questioned for over 12 hours in the case in October 2019. A company belonging to Patel and his family had developed Ceejay House and on that plot some property belonging to Iqbal Mirchi was located.
After development of the building, two floors in the building were given to Iqbal Mirchi’s family members which had been attached by ED earlier. Wadhawan brothers Kapil and Dhiraj of DHFL were investigated and then Kapil was arrested in the case while Dhiraj was on bail.
Several others were also arrested. Iqbal Mirchi’s wife Hazra and sons Asif and Junaid were summoned on multiple occassions in the case but they failed to appear. ED also has attached properties of Iqbal Mirchi and family overseas in the case.
