Alia Bhatt opens on Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ breaking Brahmastra’s box-office record! – Times of

‘Pathaan’ has broken some major box-office records. The film is now inching closer to 300 crore at the Indian box-office. It’s also the fastest 100 crore film in the history of Indian cinema.Not to mention, it feels like a festival in cinema halls ever since the film has released. ‘Pathaan’ has also broken the record of ‘Brahmastra’. The Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer had garnered about 250 crore at the domestic box-office.
Alia Bhatt was at an event along with Varun Dhawan. The duo was present to announce an award show. At the event, the actress was asked about ‘Pathaan’ breaking the record of ‘Brahmastra’ and she said, “I think every movie should break every film’s records. I am very happy with that.”

She further added, “A film like Pathaan is not just a blockbuster but the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema. These are moment when you are just grateful and pray that yeh hota jaye and hota rahe.”
Varun agreed to her and added, “Not just grateful, it is also inspirational for all of us.”

The duo also spoke about the boycott trend. Varun said, “Main kuch bolna nahi chahta. Films acchi chal rahi hai, why should we discuss it. The collection is speaking of the reach of Indian cinema, Hindi cinema. Some of the biggest stars like Shah Rukh sir, Salman bhai, Deepika and John, all of them coming together. What else do they want?”

Alia spoke about reacting aggressively to the negativity around the boycott of movies. She said, “I don’t think we have so much aggression in us. We are just grateful to be working, and living our dreams on a daily basis. We also believe we belong to our audience and they can say whatever as long as we are entertaining them. They can say anything they want but we will continue to do well.”
