Basant Panchami 2023: The special day is almost here. Every year, Basant Panchami is celebrated with a whole lot of grandeur and pomp all across the country. People deck up in new clothes and visit their family, relatives and friends. Basant Panchami is observed to worship Goddess Saraswati – the youngest daughter of Goddess Durga, who is known as the goddess of knowledge, music and art. On this day, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped in schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. Basant Panchami is also referred to as Vasant Panchami, Shri Panchami and Saraswati Panchami.
