By India Today Web Desk: The Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra is witnessing an all-women walk today in BJP-ruled Haryana, as the Congress party champions its women empowerment agenda.
Congress MP Jothimani posted the update on Twitter on Sunday, which was also shared by her party colleague and the Congress’s communications-in-charge Jairam Ramesh.
“Tomorrow (Monday) is an all-women walk in Bharat Jodo Yatra. One of the most exciting day. Rahul Gandhi is very passionate and committed to women empowerment, looking forward,” wrote Jothimani.
A similar occasion was witnessed on the birth anniversary of former prime minister Indira Gandhi on November 19, when only women walked with Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra that day.
Again in December, on the occasion of Mahila Sashaktikaran Diwas, the Gandhi scion was accompanied by only women during the march.

YOUTH CONGRESS LEADER WALKS BAREFOOT
Rahul Gandhi’s feat of walking around in a T-shirt amid the cold wave gripping northern India has been much talked about. At the same time, former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy’s son has been walking barefoot during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Asked about the reason behind his barefoot march, Chandy Oommen, who is also a Indian Youth Congress leader, said doing so “gives him energy”.
