By India Today Web Desk: Days after the charred remains of Nasir (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35) were found in a burnt four-wheeler on Thursday, Rajasthan Police has denied allegations of assaulting the pregnant wife of an accused.
As the car’s engine registration number had been traced to a missing persons’ FIR registered in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur the same day, the police of Rajasthan and Haryana are coordinating in the case. Police named five people in the case, initially, with Monu Manesar being the prime accused.
One of the accused, Shrikant, from Haryana’s Nuh district, had alleged that Rajasthan Police assaulted his pregnant wife during a search operation. However, Rajasthan Police has denied such claims.

Bharatpur Superintendent of Police Shyam Singh said Bharatpur Police had conducted a search operation in Haryana while looking for the accused, Shrikant, and Haryana Police had accompanied them.
“We did not even know the addresses of the accused. As far as entering the house of the accused is concerned, the Bharatpur Police did not even enter the house of the accused,” he said.
“During the raid, the accused was not found at home, but two of his brothers were found, who were later quizzed. As far as the allegation of assaulting his wife is concerned, it is a false one.”
A Rajasthan court on Saturday sent one accused, Rinku Saini, 32, a resident of Firozpur Jhirka in Haryana’s Nuh district, to police remand for five days in connection with the alleged abduction and murder of two men by cow vigilantes, while Haryana authorities moved to cancel the arms licence of Bajrang Dal member Monu Manesar, who is among the four evading an arrest in the case. Saini was arrested on the basis of interrogation and technical analysis on Friday night. He works as a taxi diver and was involved with a cow vigilante group, the Rajasthan police said.
