An Ujjain man tried to die by suicide along with his wife and mother over alleged harassment by a Mumbai woman.

By Ravish Pal Singh: A family tried to die by suicide after they were allegedly harassed by a Mumbai woman. A man in Ujjain recorded a video saying that he, his wife, and his mother are consuming poison because they were being blackmailed and harassed by a woman, identified as Rimjhim Das. The three of them are presently under treatment at a hospital.
Rimjhim had previously filed cases under Section 376 (rape) against the man, identified as Ashi Khan, in Mumbai. After he was released on bail, Rimjhim again filed a case against Ashi, this time in Ujjain.
After being released from jail in Ujjain, the man and his family tried to die by suicide and recorded a video of them consuming poison.
Ashi alleged that Rimjhim had been harassing him and his family, demanding money. Rimjhim also allegedly threatened to kill herself.
Ashi’s father-in-law, Nazeer Ali, said, “My daughter has been married for eight months. This woman from Mumbai, Rimjhim, has been demanding money and threatening to break the family. We paid her Rs 1.5 lakh twice but she is still asking for Rs 5 lakh more.”
Nazeer Ali said, “A girl who makes porn film in Mumbai came to me three days after my daughter got married. She told me that she will wreck my daughter’s home and get my son-in-law killed. She called me twice to ask for money and then called me the third time to tell me that if I don’t give her money, she will file a complaint against my son-in-law under Section 376. When I did not give in to her demand, she got Ashi arrested.”
“Ashi asked me to somehow arrange Rs 1.5 lakh to get rid of her. I managed to give her the money and then Ashi was let out of Mumbai jail. Then he came to Ujjain and Rimjhim again asked for Rs 2 lakh and again got him arrested. She was asking for Rs 5 lakh again,” Ali claimed.

He added, “Today, my daughter called me and said that they are consuming poison. I came running to Ujjain from Indore.”
Meanwhile, Rimjhim claimed that she was five months pregnant and said she wanted to stay with the man. She claimed that whatever was being said about her was all false.
Speaking to India Today, Chief Superintendent of police Vinod Meena said a woman had filed a case against a man under Section 376.
“We are investigating the video and also probing the background of Rimjhim and her family,” he said.
Vinod Meena said that Rimjhim had filed a rape case against Ashi. And today he had received information that the man against whom Rimjhim had filed a case had consumed poison and had alleged that he was being harassed by the woman.
Meena said that the man’s wife is in a critical condition.
