By India Today News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the nine-year completion of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government on Tuesday. Deeming the BJP’s tenure as service to the nation, the prime minister said that every decision and every action undertaken was rolled out to “improve the lives of people”.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Today, as we complete 9 years in service to the nation, I am filled with humility and gratitude. Every decision made, and every action taken, has been guided by the desire to improve the lives of people. We will keep working even harder to build a developed India.”
PM Modi, on Twitter, also shared a glimpse of the BJP-led development journey.
“9 years of unwavering dedication to the nation’s growth,” he said, while sharing certain milestones under the BJP regime.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also marked the milestone moment for the BJP and tweeted, “Today on one hand, under the leadership of Modi ji, the country is safe and is creating new dimensions of pride in the world, on the other hand, the government has new parameters of development and welfare of the poor.”
Hailing the prime minister’s leadership, several union ministers lauded the achievements of the Modi government.
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday, in the financial capital, enumerated a slew of reforms and developmental projects brought about by the BJP government. She mentioned that the tax, at present, was made faceless “because we trust people, and people, in turn, trust PM Modi.”

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said on Monday that a new chapter of growth and fast-paced development has been written in nine years of BJP rule at the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
From India’s “rising” global stature to emphasis on national security, welfare measures like housing and toilets for the poor, boost to piped water supply, infrastructure growth and efforts to ramp up the manufacturing sector, were among the initiatives cited at the press conferences they held in every state of the country.
