IMD predicts cloudy sky in Delhi-NCR today, rainfall over Western Himalaya region from April 26 |

By India Today News Desk: The national capital and neighbouring areas continued to experience pleasant weather on Tuesday with the prediction of cloudy skies and light rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy skies in Delhi-NCR today.

Delhi continued to witness pleasant weather conditions with the maximum temperature settling at 34.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average on Monday.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal. Humidity levels oscillated between 36 and 58 per cent.

MERCURY LEVELS IN DELHI

For Tuesday, the weatherman has forecast partly cloudy skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to settle at 36 degrees and 18 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the air quality in neighbouring areas such as Gurugram (159), Noida (150), Faridabad (136), Ghaziabad (169), Greater Noida (170) was also recorded in the ‘moderate’ category.

RAINFALL IN OTHER STATES OF INDIA

Severe weather conditions are expected to hit several regions across India in the coming days, with thunderstorms and hailstorms predicted to hit Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, south Madhya Pradesh, and south Chhattisgarh between April 25 and 27.

Additionally, a new wet spell is forecasted for the Western Himalaya Region from April 26, while the plains of northwest India are expected to experience rain from April 28.

Southern Indian states, including Tamil Nadu and Kerala, are also expected to receive rain or thundershowers in the next few days.

WESTERN DISTURBANCE IN RAJASTHAN, MP

According to meteorological reports, a Western Disturbance, in the form of a cyclonic circulation, is currently present in northeast Rajasthan and nearby areas at the middle levels.

Furthermore, a cyclonic circulation is located over central Madhya Pradesh, while another is present over south Tamil Nadu at lower levels. The area between these two cyclonic circulations is experiencing a trough/wind discontinuity.

It is predicted that a new Western Disturbance is likely to hit the Western Himalayan Region from April 26. Residents of the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions to avoid any possible damage caused by the adverse weather conditions.
