India’s comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Pakistan put them on top of the 10-team table with six points from three consecutive wins.
The Indian bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, triggered a Pakistan collapse from 155/2 to 191 all out. The hosts then scampered to the target in 30.3 overs, riding on skipper Rohit Sharma’s 63-ball 86 and Shreyas Iyer’s 53 not out.
The big margin of defeat is a cause of worry for Babar Azam’s team, as it’s the seventh occasion in last eight result-oriented ODIs since 2015 that India have hammered their traditional rivals to win by a comprehensive margin.
