By India Today Web Desk: Janata Dal-United (JDU) leader Upendra Kushwaha has claimed that his convoy was attacked near Nayka Tola’s turn in Jagdishpur of Bihar’s Bhojpur district. He mentioned the miscreants fled the spot when his security personnel chased them.

“Just now some anti-social elements suddenly attacked my vehicle passing near Nayka Tola turn in Jagdishpur of Bhojpur district, some anti-social elements threw stones. Everyone ran away when the security personnel ran,” Upenra Kushwaha said in a tweet, tagging Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar Police,

Upendra Kushwaha, who served as Union minister of state for the human resource development department last year, joined the JDU-RJD mahagathbandhan and merged his party Rashtriya Lok Samta Party with Janata Dal-United. However, Kushwaha recently raised objections over the growing clout of the RJD within the mahagathbandhan, especially after Nitish Kumar hinted at a power transfer to his deputy Tejashwi Yadav in future.

However, Upendra Kushwaha has denied reports of him leaving the JDU.
