Sharing a video of his transformation into Dr Freddy Ginawala, Kartik wrote, “From gaining 14 kgs to going to Real Clinic and learning skills from dentist, Becoming #Freddy has been one never-forgettable journey for me… Pushing my boundaries mentally and physically to forget my real self and turn into Freddy for reel. Glad to have worked with an amazing team for this challenging on-screen transformation.” ‘Freddy’ promises a spine-chilling narrative featuring Kartik and Alaya F in the lead. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, this film will stream on OTT from December 2.
Speaking about shooting for the intense character, Kartik had shared, “I literally dwelled in the world of Freddy while shooting the film. It was important for me to remain in that headspace and go to the set and perform. I got disturbing nights because of ‘Freddy’ but it was important to be focused on the bigger picture and tried to curtail my regular activities while shooting Freddy so that I could focus on the film and the character. Post the wrap, I connected with my friends and family who keep me grounded and that helped me return to reality and normalcy again.”
Post ‘Freddy’, Kartik Aaryan will be seen in ‘Shehzada’, which is an official Hindi remake of Telugu hit ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. He has reunited with Kriti Sanon for this entertainer. Apart from this, Kartik Aaryan also has ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Kiara Advani and ‘Aashiqui 3’ in the pipeline.
