However, the Public Relations Department of Madhya Pradesh has denied the viral video’s legitimacy. They have accused whoever created the fake video and shared it on social media of harming the Chief Minister’s image. In reaction to the criticism, Sony TV made a statement on X, stating that the viral video contains a ‘fabricated voice-over’ of the host and contains twisted content.

The fact-checking page shared the authentic video and cleared that the previous viral video was tampered with, “The video posted on the official YouTube channel of KBC on January 20, 2023, is being tampered with and is being made viral on social media and WhatsApp groups with the intention of tarnishing the image of CM Shri @ChouhanShivraj, it is fake.”

The channel issued a statement against the video, ” We have been alerted to the circulation of an unauthorised video from our show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This video misleadingly overlays a fabricated voice-over of our host and presents distorted content. Upholding the show’s integrity and our viewers’ trust is paramount, and we are actively addressing this matter with the cyber crime cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation, urge our audience to be vigilant, and refrain from sharing unverified content,” the statement read.
