ETimes contacted Madhur who was all merry to express his happiness as he shared, “It was a great morning to wake up with great news of the ‘RRR’ song ‘Naatu Naatu’s big win at the Golden Globes Awards. The ‘RRR’ team has taken India to a global level and made everyone proud of it. Especially Mr. SS Rajamouli who has not inspired Indian directors but also impressed international filmmakers and the audience as well with his brilliant filmmaking craft. His vision has taken Indian cinema to the next level.”
“The film impressed the Japanese, the west, and now Americans. So it’s a proud moment for all of us. Though I haven’t met Rajamouli, I have seen all his movies and I have no words for Mr MM Keeravani, he has done a fabulous job not just in south films but also in Bollywood. He has some fantastic masterpieces to his credit, ‘Naatu Naatu’ is just one of them,” added Mr. Bhandarkar
Madhur recalls one of his fond memories of being associated with MM Keeravani. He was all praise for the music composer and said, “I remember while working with Ram Gopal Verma for ‘Kshana Kshanam’, that film had Mr. Keeravani’s songs which were wonderful. I wish the entire team of ‘RRR’ many congratulations.”
Meanwhile, Madhur Bhandarkar’s last OTT outing ‘Lockdown India’ received decent reviews and the filmmaker is in plans to zero down on a script for his next.
