By India Today News Desk: A 15-year-old girl in Haryana’s Ballabhgarh killed her 12-year-old brother as she believed her parents loved her brother more than her.
On Tuesday evening, upon returning from work, the parents of the girl said they were startled to find their son lying motionless under a sheet.
Initially, they tried to wake him up, but when their attempts failed, they removed the sheet, only to be confronted with a horrifying reality. The mother revealed that she had found her son strangled.
Only her elder daughter was present inside the house at the time of the incident, the woman said.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.

During the questioning, the police came to know that the minor girl and her brother had been residing with their grandparents in Uttar Pradesh and had recently come to Ballabhgarh to spend their summer vacation with their parents. The police confirmed that the girl believed her parents favored her brother more than her.
According to the police, the family had given a mobile phone to their son. On Tuesday, when her brother was engrossed in playing a game on the phone, she requested to borrow it. However, when her brother refused to hand it over, she, in a fit of anger, strangled him to death.
Currently, the police are preparing to present the girl before the juvenile justice board for further proceedings.
Sube Singh, the Public Relations Officer of the police, said, “The girl believed that her parents loved her brother more. Her parents had even provided him with a mobile phone on which he was playing a game. When the girl asked her brother for the phone, he refused, which led to her anger, resulting in the tragic incident.”
