New Delhi:
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most prolific actors in the country today and has shared screen space with some of the biggest superstars of Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan. Speaking about the three Khans specifically, the actor recently opened up about his working equation with them. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he said in Hindi, “Of course, working with them is a very entertaining experience. Whenever Bhai [Salman Khan] calls me for a film and I say, ‘I don’t enjoy the script’, he offers me another option. For him, he wants me to work in a film that he is producing. If such a big superstar talks humbly to me, I will feel that they consider me their own.
“It is their greatness that, whether it is Salman [Khan], Shah Rukh Khan, or Aamir, they call me whenever there is a content-driven film. This is probably because they know me and the kind of work I do. They know me personally and what kind of a person I am. That’s why the bonding is strong,” he added.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui also added that from the three Khans, he has learned patience, the grit to succeed, and the power and courage to sustain despite all the highs and lows. For context, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has worked with Salman Khan in films such as Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Freaky Ali, directed and produced by Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan. Meanwhile, he worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees in 2017 and with Aamir Khan in Sarfarosh in 1999.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is receiving praise for his work in the film Afwaah by Sudhir Mishra. NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee wrote in the review, “Lead actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui reunites with his Serious Men director to play a role that is poles apart from the one that he essayed in the 2020 film. He is a small-town man who has ventured out into the world and made it big. His lines are peppered with English but at the outset, the audience is informed that he still thinks in Hindi. The dichotomy gives the character of Rahab Ahmed an intriguing twist that Siddiqui accentuates with the aid of subtle histrionic sleights.”
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Jogira Sara Ra Ra alongside Neha Sharma. He will also be seen in Tiku Weds Sheru and Noorani Chehra.
