New Year 2023: Quick And Easy Mocktail Recipes For New Year Parties

New Delhi: With Christmas just having gone by, it’s New Year that is knocking at the door. So, if you are rummaging through your recipe books or binge-watching you-tube videos to decide what to prepare for your New Year parties, we have good news for you. Here is a list of mocktail recipes that you can prepare for your New Year parties and ring in the new year with smiles and laughter.

1. Lemon Lavender Mocktail:

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 
  • 1.5 tbsp. lavender syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. Grenadine

Preparation:

In a saucepan, combine 1 tbsp. dried lavender, 1/2 cup water, and 1/2 cup sugar to make a simple lavender syrup. After bringing it to a boil, turn off the heat. Strain the lavender out after allowing the mixture to cool in the pan.

Add ice to a shaker, add the lemon juice, lavender syrup, and grenadine, and shake until chilled. Pour the strained mixture into a glass and top it with soda. You can garnish your drink with some fresh lavender.

2. Orange Lemon Passion-Fruit Mocktail:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup vanilla syrup
  • 1/2 cup passion fruit puree

Preparation: 

In a cocktail shaker combine all the ingredients with ice and shake well. Pour the mixture into a glass and add lemon zest and orange wheels for garnish.

3. Classic Mojito:

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 to 3 ounces of soda, divided, to taste
  • 1 lime
  • A sprig of mint

Preparation:

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Add the sugar, mint leaves, ice- cubes and a dash of soda into a glass.
  • Muddle just enough that will cause the sugar to dissolve and the mint taste to come through.
  • Pour the juice of the two lime halves into the glass. 
  • Whisk all the ingredients well.
  • Add a sprig of mint as garnish and serve.

4. Frozen Virgin Margarita:

Ingredients:

  • Simple Syrup
  • Fresh Lemons
  • Lemon juice
  • Orange juice
  • Angostura Orange Bitters (Optional)
  • Frozen lemonade
  • Kosher Salt (2 pinches)
  • Sparkling Water

Preparation:

  • Gather all the ingredients.  Take the zest of 1 lime and the juice of 6 lemons. Along with them take 2 whole lemons.  Wedge another lime and cut another into wheels for the garnish.
  • To dampen the glass rim, rub a lime slice around it.
  • In a small bowl or plate, combine the margarita salt and lime zest.
  • The glass should be turned upside down and spun in the salt mixture to coat the rim. After finishing all the glasses, put them aside.
  • A large blender pitcher should be filled with the frozen lemonade, freshly squeezed lemon and lime juices, orange juice, kosher salt, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters.
  • About 3 to 4 cups of crushed ice should be added to the drink to make it thick and frozen. 
  • Add 1 cup of sparkling water right before serving. 
  • Garnish the drink with a wedge of lime or a lemon wheel.

5. Litchi Spritz:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz of litchi puree
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • Fever-Tree Lime & Yuzu Soda

Preparation:

  • Except for the lime and yuzu soda, combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Pour the liquid through a strainer over fresh ice in a glass.
  • Once it’s done, top it with lime and yuzu soda.
  • You can finally garnish it with dehydrated lemon or litchi.
