By India Today Web Desk: Parts of North India, including Delhi, continued to witness cold wave conditions on Friday morning while dense fog led to low visibility, affecting train movements.
Dense to very dense fog was observed over Punjab, Haryana, northwest Rajasthan, adjoining West UP, north Bihar and adjoining East UP and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, bringing down visibility below 200 metres.

Meanwhile, visibility improved over East UP with Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Varanasi reporting visibility above 1000 m.
DELHI WEATHER UPDATE
Delhi continued to reel under bone-chilling cold conditions as the mercury settled at 9 degrees Celsius on Friday. While Delhiites woke up to a foggy morning, people took refuge at a night shelter in the Kashmiri Gate area.
Similarly, mercury hovered between 17 to 24 degrees Celsius in other metro cities.

Dense fog was witnessed over parts of North India, affecting visibility.
Taking to Twitter, IMD said, “Dense to Very Dense Fog conditions likely to continue over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh during next 48 hours and decrease in intensity and spread thereafter.” (sic)
TRAINS DELAYED
Notably, a total of 21 trains are running late by a few hours on Friday, due to poor visibility triggered by fog, reported ANI.
NOIDA SUSPENDS NIGHT BUS SERVICES
Amid the chilling winter that has ripped through northern India, with dense fog causing several accidents, authorities have taken a decision to halt the Noida depot bus services from 9 pm to 7 am.
The decision is taken against the backdrop of fog that has turned thick in the last few days. The authorities have also decided to suspend the reservation service for night bus journeys for the next month.
