By India Today News Desk: A Pakistani balloon was spotted hovering in Kumarsain area of Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla on Tuesday. A ship-shaped green balloon was spotted in Prem Nagar village in Malendi gram panchayat.
The locals alerted the police after the flag of Pakistan was spotted on the balloon.
The police team reached the spot and started a probe after taking the balloon into their possession. Initial investigation suggests that the balloon seems to be from Pakistan only. The police are looking into everything, from where the balloon came from to who owns it.
Ravi Mehta, a resident of Premnagar village, told the police that a Pakistani balloon was found in his apple orchard. He said that the children at home were playing with this balloon. When the children were asked about it, they said that this balloon was hanging on the apple tree.
Similar sightings of Pakistani balloons were reported in the bordering states of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab as well. Also last month, a Pakistani currency note was found in Rampur that was tied to a torn balloon in Tikkari village in Shimla district.
