PM Modi gives out 71,000 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits from different government organisations under Rozgar Mela on Friday.

By India Today Web Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday distributed 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in different government departments and organisations under Rozgar Mela through video conferencing.

After distributing the appointment letters, the PM also spoke to some of the candidates via video conferencing while they shared their life journey.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions under the central government, like junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, inspectors, sub-inspectors, constables, stenographers, junior accountants, grameen dak sevak, Income Tax inspectors, teachers, nurses, doctors, social security officers among others.

It is part of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ drive which was announced by the PM in 2022 to give jobs to 10 lakh people.

The PMO said it is a step towards fulfillment of Modi’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The ‘Rozgar Mela’ is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities for the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development, it added.

The experience of newly inducted officials learning from the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ module will also be shared during the programme. The module is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various government departments, it said.
