By India Today News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Bhopal and New Delhi at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station on Saturday. He will also attend the Combined Commanders’ Conference-2023 at the Kushabhau Thakre Hall. This is the eleventh Vande Bharat train to be inaugurated by PM Modi.
PM Modi reached Bhopal at 10 am today and was welcomed by MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
“Will be in Bhopal today. In the morning will take part in the Combined Commanders’ Conference and later will flag off the Vande Bharat Express between Bhopal and New Delhi. This train will boost connectivity between MP and Delhi,” the prime minister said in a tweet ahead of his visit.
PM Modi will arrive in the state capital and take part in the Combined Commanders’ Conference at 10 am. He will then flag off the Vande Bharat Express from Rani Kamalapati railway station here to Delhi around 3.15 pm, sources told PTI.
“PM Modi will be visiting Madhya Pradesh. During his visit to Bhopal on April 1, he will give a big gift to the people of the state in the form of Vande Bharat Express. Madhya Pradesh is moving fast because of Modi’s vision,” MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a tweet.
Designed and built in India, Vande Bharat train is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities. It will provide a faster, comfortable and convenient travel experience to rail users, boost tourism and promote economic development in the region.
The semi-high speed train between Bhopal and the national capital will cover 708 km in 7.45 hours.

PM MODI ROADSHOW CANCELLED
In the backdrop of the Indore temple tragedy which claimed 36 lives, a roadshow scheduled to be held to welcome and thank the prime minister has been cancelled. In view of the temple tragedy in Indore, the proposed roadshow to honour the PM has been cancelled, MP BJP chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma told reporters on Friday.
As many as 36 people died after the roof of a ‘bawdi’ (well) collapsed during a ‘havan’, a fire ritual, on the occasion of Ram Navami at a temple in Indore on Thursday. Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal temple in the city, where the tragedy occurred.
The Combined Commanders’ Conference, which began on March 30, is being held on the theme ‘ready, resurgent, relevant’ and will see deliberations over a spectrum of issues pertaining to national security, including jointness and theaterisation in the armed forces.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) earlier said that the new train being introduced between Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal and New Delhi railway station will be the eleventh Vande Bharat train in the country.
