By Divyesh Singh, Dipesh D. Tripathi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat condemned the varna system and said everyone was equal before God. Bhagwat added that priests were responsible for creating castes and sects.
“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj wrote a letter to Aurangzeb after the temple was destroyed in Kashi, mentioning that Hindus and Muslims are children of one god and brutality on one of them is wrong and that his job is to respect everyone and if it isn’t stopped then he’ll use his sword,” Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday.
He said that priests, and not God, made castes and sects.

“When we earn livelihood, we have responsibility towards society. When every work is for society, then how can any work be big or small or different? God has always said that everyone is equal for him and there’s no caste, sect for him, it was made by priests which is wrong,” Mohan Bhagwat
“Conscience and consciousness are all the same in the country. There is no difference in that, just the opinions are different. We have tried to change religion. If it does not change, then leave the religion. Babasaheb Ambedkar said this.. He has told me how to change the situation,” he said.
“Pay attention to today’s situation..don’t leave religion under any circumstances,” Mohan Bhagwat said.
