“We’ve been friends. We met through friends and just clicked. We are very similar people… we are fun people and lazy people. We just want to work and be at home,” Priya said in her new interview.
Speaking about the response to their Valentine’s Day post, Priya told Hindustan Times, “We were very happy that everybody was happy for us. It was a very happy moment because we didn’t expect it to go viral. Everybody was happy for friends and family and that’s most important people know when they’re happy, that is what matters.”
Priya further said that she and Prateik are private people when it comes to love and relationship. They both are actors and want to be spoken about their work rather than their relationship. She believes that the moment you talk about relationships, the entire focus shifts there.
“We work so hard for people to talk about our work, and then suddenly they don’t want to know about that… they want to know who you’re dating. So, we wanted to keep it under wraps and even now we want to make sure it’s not the highlight of our.. Work should always be the highlight,” she concluded.
Prateik was previously married to Sanya Sagar. They parted ways reportedly during the lockdown after tying the knot on January 23, 2019.
He was recently seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indian Lockdown where he played a migrant worker being affected by the COVID-19 shutdown in India. Priya, on the other hand, has worked in a number of movies including KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid, Baar Baar Dekho, Baarish, Bhanwar and others.
