Priyanka Chopra reacts to being brutally trolled for calling SS Rajamouli’s RRR a Tamil film – Times

Priyanka Chopra had recently found herself at the receiving end of criticism when she had wrongly referred to SS Rajamouli’s Telugu blockbuster film RRR as a Tamil film. A certain section of online users had brutally trolled Priyanka for her factual error. However, Priyanka has remained unfazed by the hate comments.
During her podcast with Dax Shepard, Priyanka had corrected the host when he had referred to RRR as a Bollywood film. “That’s a Tamil movie by the way. It’s like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those… it’s like our Avengers,” she had said.

In a new interview, Priyanka was asked about getting trolled for calling RRR a Tamil film. Reacting to it, she said that people like finding mistakes in everything she does. She feels that people enjoy that a little bit. But she prefers to focus on the positives in her life.
She further said that earlier she was a lot more free-spirited but now she is a bit more cautious because she has to think about her family. She believes that the higher you go in life, the more people find reasons to see you fall. Despite all of that, Priyanka prefers to focus on the love and support she has got from her family, friends and fans.

Priyanka decided to explore Hollywood at the peak of her career in the Hindi film industry around 2011-2012. She began as a singer with the single In My City and went on to feature as the lead in the American TV show Quantico. She played the antagonist in the film Baywatch and most recently, she was seen in The Matrix Resurrections alongside Keanu Reeves.

She was recently in India to promote Citadel, backed by Russo Brothers’ AGBO banner. The show also features Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden and veteran Hollywood star Stanley Tucci. The Indian version by Raj &DK will feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan.
