Richa dropped a reel with a heartfelt note to sum up her year. She wrote, “I am so grateful for the year I had! 2022, I had zero expectations, and you were wonderful! Traveled, got married, won a grant from @berlinale and started #UnderCurrent, @pushingbuttonsstudios became legit as we wrapped our first ever film as producers #GirlsWillBeGirls, got married and made the best memories through laughter and tears, wrapped two films, two shows, (one mega-song with the legend Sanjay Leela Bhansali, truly bucket list worthy), took fam on a vacation (after a decade).”
Richa is reportedly a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’. The actress trained in Kathak for the film. She further also spoke about dealing with toxicity. Richa added, “dealt with toxicity and SDE with equanimity, wrote and spread joy and love with the first ever live event for @thekindry ! Did as much charity as I could without making noise about it – towards the poor, powerless and marginalised! Recycled, up cycled, created!!! Got back to DANCE which has made me so happy! Friends got married, friends had babies, my heart is full! Thank you to everyone for the love and just for being in my life, our lives! Everything will be better in 2023! Richa and Ali’s first production, ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ is directed by debutant Shuchi Talati. The film is set in an elite boarding school in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India and follows the story of a 16-year-old girl who is hijacked by her mother because she was never allowed to break the mould.
Malayalam cinema actor Kani Kusruti is playing one of the leads. It will have debutants like Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy.
