A freak accident involving a biker, whose neck got snagged in the rope of a truck coming from the opposite direction, took place in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi. The incident was caught on CCTV cameras in the area and the biker escaped with minor injuries.

By Pramod Madhav: A freak accident involving a truck’s rope wrapping a biker’s neck, resulting in him being thrown into the air, took place in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi. The entire incident was caught on a CCTV camera in the area. The biker miraculously escaped with minor injuries.
The biker, identified as Muthu from Srivaikuntam town in Thoothukudi district, was on his way to work. When he was crossing the Eral region, he was suddenly pulled off his bike and fell to the ground.
Immediately, people standing nearby who witnessed him falling on the ground helped Muthu. It took him a couple of minutes to get back to his senses and how he fell down.
When the nearby CCTV footage was examined, the reason for the accident was discovered. When Muthu was crossing the Eral area, a truck carrying fertilisers was coming from the opposite end at the exact moment he was crossing. A rope harness which was tied over the load the truck was carrying snapped and wrapped around Muthu’s neck, pulling him off the bike.
Muthu was thrown into the air and then fell to the ground. People who were standing nearby and had witnessed it happening rushed to Muthu’s aid and ensured that his neck was not tangled in the ropes.
Thankfully, Muthu escaped with minor injuries. Eral police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
