By Divyesh Singh, Arvind Ojha, Dipesh D. Tripathi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan was once again on the receiving end of a threat e-mail. A close associate of the actor had received an e-mail which made reference to a recent interview by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, wherein he claimed that his life’s goal was to kill the actor.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar in connection with the threat e-mail to Salman Khan.
Meanwhile, the security outside Salman Khan’s residence has been beefed up in the wake of fresh threats to the Bollywood actor.
What did the e-mail say?
The threat mail was sent on Saturday to Prashant Gunjalkar, who is a close associate of Salman Khan. The sender was revealed to be one Rohit Garg. Salman Khan’s team filed a police complaint against Garg, Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi for sending threatening e-mail.
The complaint alleged that the e-mail from Rohit Garg said that gangster Goldy Brar wanted to talk to Salman Khan. It also referred to a recent interview of Lawrence Bishnoi, where he said that killing Salman Khan was the goal of his life.
“Goldy Brar wants to speak to your boss (Salman Khan). He must have seen the interview (of Bishnoi), and if he hasn’t, then make him watch it. If he wants the matter to be closed, then let him speak (to Goldy Brar). If he wants to speak face-to-face, then let us know. This time we informed you on time, next time you will only be shocked,” the e-mail in Hindi read.
Following the fresh threat to Salman Khan, the Bandra Police registered a case under sections 506(2), 120(b) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code on Sunday.
