Salman’s latest film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has managed to sell 23000 tickets in three National multiplexes till 3:30 pm on Wednesday. One could say that this is a low number. But trade experts believe it simply means that the Salman starrer will be dependent on a walk-in crowd to get the bumper opening expected of it.
As per a report by an entertainment portal, Bhaijaan’s advance booking is below par when compared to recent successes like Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and RRR. The numbers are at par with films like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Laal Singh Chadha and Vikram Vedha. And the pre-booking trends are looking better than they did with recent releases like Bholaa, Shamshera, Bhediya and Samrat Prithviraj. All this simply means that the film is expected to get an average opening and box office success will heavily depend on word-of-mouth publicity. The fans will need to create a push to take Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan forward in the coming days. The report also suggests that single screens and mass pockets have recorded very good advance booking numbers, which are second only to Pathaan.
Another factor that might see an increase in ticket sales is the Eid celebration. The festival date is expected to fall either on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the sighting of the moon.
