Users however don’t seem to agree. One user commented, “Poori ek generation ko partner goals de kar aur disappoint Kar Raj Pathan dekhne chala ! Unfair” Another user wrote, “Utna koi acha movie nahi hai pathan! DDLJ was super hit by word of mouth because it is a amazing movie! Pathan is just shoving an avg product in everyone’s throat Dekh dekh dekh itna acha hai dekh dekh SRK is back dekh dekh!”
One user from Pakistan wrote, “Bring back Raj. At least he only has Simran’s baap to fight, not Pakistan”
At ‘Pathaan’s’ first ever media event, the actor had spoken about how Aditya Chopra finally fulfilled his promise of making an action film with him after 30 years. SRK had said, “We were shooting for Darr. Aditya Chopra was the chief Ad on the film. It was his birthday. He said, he wants to make a film. He asked me if I wanted to do it. He told me its an action film because we were shooting for ‘Darr’. I always wanted to be an action hero so I got very excited. And he came and narrated ‘DDLJ’ to me. Then he came to me with ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. He kept coming to me with romantic films. I kept hearing and wondering when will the action come. 3-4 years back, he narrated an action film and he still didnt make it with me. So when they finally made ‘Pathaan’, I couldnt believe it. I still thought, he would call me on the set and make me romance.”
‘Pathaan’ has now crossed 450 crore mark at the domestic box-office!
