But what has come as a surprise and a great news for the film is that the box office collection has seen a jump on Saturday. On Friday, while the film collected around 8.75 crore nett, the Saturday collection as per early estimates can be expected to be around 13.5 crore nett as per boxofficeindia.com. Uptil its Day 3, the film had garnered around 31.75 crore total nett but with the Saturday numbers adding up, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is inching closer to the 50 crore mark.
The fact that the film made a comeback with a good growth is a great sign that the film will sustain well even on Sunday and the upcoming weekdays. The saturday numbers of the film in some centres are bigger than its first day numbers. But these numbers have come in from major cities with big multiplexes which didn’t have a holiday on Holi.
However, the mass centres like Gujarat, Rajasthan, and CI can be expected to see a jump on Sunday. But only good word of mouth will make the film hold strongly in the coming days in bigger cities and multiplexes. As per trade, the Mumbai and Pune circuit has collected good money on Saturday and hence, business from these centres will remain crucial post this first weekend. While now the film stands at 45 crore nett, the Sunday collections are expected to make ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ reach a business of Rs 60 crore.
‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is directed by Luv Ranjan and also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor.
