Vivek Agnihotri takes a dig on reports claiming he brought a 17.9 Cr Flat; Says ‘Grateful to

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to his social media handle to slam reports which claimed that he brought a luxurious apartment worth Rs 17.90 crore in Mumbai post the success of film ‘The Kashmir Files’. The film went on to collect over 300 crores at the box office.

The filmmaker shared a screenshot of the news on his Twitter handle and wrote, “I am really grateful to all the Congressis, AAPiyas and unemployed Bollywoodiyas for building new apartments for me every day and also for furnishing them with luxury furniture. I really liked the sofa which came from 10 Janpath.”

Earlier several there were reports which stated Vivek along with his wife Pallavi Joshi bought a luxurious apartment on the 30th floor of Versova’s Parthenon Towers, which had an area of over a 3,258 sq ft area along with three car parking slots. The flat costed a whopping 18 crores.

Apart from that, Vivek recently made headlines, when an Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid passed controversial comments on his film ‘The Kashmir File’ at the closing ceremony on IFFI Goa. He went on to call the shocking, vulgar as well as propaganda.

Reacting to his remark, Vivek had shared a video on his social media handle where he was heard saying, “I challenge all these urban naxals and the legendary filmmaker who came from Israel, that if they can prove any single shot, event or dialogue is not completely true then I will quit filmmaking. Who are these people who stand up against India every time?”

Earlier this March, the film had a theatrical release and went on to break all box-office records. Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi, revolves around the killings of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 from the valley. The film was received well by the audiences and critics in India.
