The TDP accused the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of pushing the state 67 years back

By Apoorva Jaichandran: After Telugu Desam Party (TDP) launched Yuvagalam Padayatra (march) in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor on Friday, its National General Secretary Nara Lokesh slammed the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and asserted that the mere announcement of the yatra had sent tremors into government.

“At least ten cabinet ministers began criticising me, asking what right I had to undertake the padayatra. I have every right as the TDP laid 25,000 km-long cement roads in the State,” said Lokesh while addressing a meeting at Chittoor’s Kuppam.

“I am approaching the people as I have employed 40,000 youth as the IT minister,” Lokesh said, adding that he also employed another 40,000 youth in the electronic sector.

Accusing the chief minister of pushing the state 67 years back, the TDP leader said inviting investments does not mean operating casinos.

“Andhra Pradesh was formed with the sacrifices made by the great Potti Sriramulu, the self-respect of the Telugus has gone up with the effort of the Late NT Rama Rao, said the TDP’s general secretary.

“The prestige of Andhra Pradesh has reached the global level with the rule of Chandrababu Naidu and the chief ministers who ruled the state earlier and made efforts to develop the state,” he said.

He hit out at CM Jagan for allegedly destroying the state, including teachers, students, farmers and women. Lokesh said padayatra was named Yuva Galam after observing the problems being faced by the youth.
